Shipping policy

ORDERS WITHIN THE CONTINENTAL U.S.

All orders over $50 ship free within the continental United States. Orders under $50 ship out with $8.95 shipping within the continental United States.

Locations with temperatures of 95ºF+ may incur additional charges.

First Nibs Subscription shipping rate is included in the price of the subscription.

 

SHIPPING TO HAWAII

Our standard shipping rate to Hawaii is $15. Large orders may incur additional charges.

 

SHIPPING TO CANADA

We may temporarily suspend international shipping due to high temperatures. Our standard summertime shipping & handling rate to Canada is $35. Large orders may incur additional charges. Your order may be held at customs, so please be patient.

 

WARM WEATHER

We love the summer but it does not always love us back. Chocolate is sensitive to the heat and will easily melt at high temperatures. When temperatures rise to 75ºF and above we pack chocolate with cold packs and insulation.

 

We highly recommend shipping to a location where the chocolate can be delivered inside or someone will be there to receive it. If you are not there to receive the package and the chocolate is left out to melt, we are not able to refund your order.

 

P.O. BOXES

In order to ensure timely delivery during summer months, we are unable to deliver to P.O. boxes outside of the NYC area. Please provide us with an alternate mailing address if you usually use a P.O. box.

 

SHIPPING TIMES

We typically process orders within 3-5 business days. Sometimes we receive a much larger volume of orders than we anticipate and orders may take a week to process. We appreciate your patience and we do our best to keep you informed! 

 

Once we’ve shipped your chocolate, you’ll receive an email with tracking information. Your order should arrive within 3 business days.* We ship everything from our bean-to-bar chocolate factory in Brooklyn, NY. Depending on the destination, we ship via USPS, FedEx, and UPS. In general, please allow 7-10 days from the date of your order for your chocolate to arrive.
